11*30*04 Second quarter was a hetic one for me. We covered to novels, one called Cathcer in the Rye and the other called A Seperate Peace.

Besides the two novels, we also had another project called Art and Memory. This project allowed us to collaberate with people from Molokai and Osaka, Japan. This project helped many of us to see the significance of free expression and why keeping peace is so important. I really enjoyed doing this project. I got to learn how to use Powerpoint and converse with people from around the world in video conferences, even though I had to wake up at 2:30 in the morning to do so, even giving up my weekend. Overall, it was a good experience.

In first quarter, we mainly focused on myths and allusive poetry. It was really good to get away from the regular essays and learn something new. First, we had group discussions on what elements make up a myth. We also looked at countless examples of myths. These first two steps prepared us for one of our first major projects...our Myth Project.

Well get into a little more detail about that project a little later. But anyway, after doing that project and having the understanding of what a myth was, we took it to the next level of writing poetry of ourselves and how we felt and alluding it to a myth, fable or bible account.

So basically, this is what we have gotten done in the first quarter and I am sure we have much more in store for us to learn.
