My Metaphor

11*30*04 Hello everyone! Yes... a new quarter and the layout is the same, but the colors are different. I guess the you could say this is my "second album". It is a continuation of the first quarter portfolio and I thought that it would be better to change the color and maybe the picture to see that there is some sort of differences in the quarter and so that you won't get board of the same thing.

Okay...this year's portfolio is a little bit different. Last year...freshman year...we had freedom to express ourselves in any way when it came to our portfolios, as long as they weren't bad and went against school rules. But anyway, this year is different because we need to pick a metaphor and relate it to ourselves and fit it in with our portfolio and keep it as a running theme.

And I feel that this was easy to do because last year, my theme was stars and I keep the same theme the whole year. So why didn't I do stars again this year? Well I love looking up at the stars, but I wanted to try something new. So no...I haven't really given up on them...just got tired of the same layout...oh well. Anyway, why did I pick a CD? Good question.

You see, I really love music. For me, it's practically on everyday, seven days a week, basically it's on 24/7...except for when I need sleep. Okay, back to the subject. I was listening to music before I went to bed and I suddenly thought of doing my portfolio metaphor on a CD. In the back of a CD case, there is a list of tracks and such, so on my portfolio, my links would sort of be like my CD track numbers.

And usually, in the back or front of CD covers, they put the picture of the artist. So I put a picture of myself to represent that I am the artist or maker of the portfolio and the faded CD in the background is just an added affect that I thought would be cool to use as a title page.
