Parent Presentation

11*30*04 This time around, it was hard for may parents to find free time to take a look at my portfolio. But they still made the sacrifice. While I was working on it, i showed them in a nutshell of what I was doing, taking in constructive critisim here and there, supportive as they've alway been.

They didn't have a chance to post on the forum yet, but they said that my work is really good. My mom was skecptical of the color that I chose, but in the end she said that they did match.

For my presentation, I told them that I updated the previous things from last quarter and added four new standards. My mom accidently clicked on my freshman portfolio link and she was surprised on how I not only change physically in a year, but my skills in applying Photoshop and web design.

For my parent or parents at home presentation, I really didn't need to schedule a specific data and time for them to check on my work. They just come by and ask me what I am doing and I explained to them that I was starting my sophomore year portfolio. Once I said those words, they were ready to help me in any way possible and willing to give me suggestions.

My process was to explain to them my metaphor and why we are using metaphors this year. I also told them that now we are going to be incorporating standards into our portfolios, not only at the ending of the quarter, but now. then I explained to them the two standards that I picked, the one that I am meeting and hopefully succeeding and the one that I can improve on.

Overall, my parent presentation was another good one and I think it was a way for my parents to see what I am learning and how I improved over the course of freshman year and now and how I will also continue to grow.
