English Standard 6

Use technology to locate, evaluate, and collect information from a variety of sources and to process data and report results.

This was a standard that I had a hard time with. For the Art and Memory project, we needed to collect information on the war we picked.

Being that we picked World War II, you would think that there would be a lot of information on it, And believe me there was. it was hard to decipher which ones to use. But my partner and I had trouble finding information on the culture and society of the US during the war.

We tried various search engines and search combinations, but they just didn't help. I took us such a long time, so we had to go broader and broader in order to find some things on the topic. We just settled for jazz and the clothing at that time. I wish we could have found more information.

By next quarter, I hope that I can have this standard met or at least succeed in it. Or maybe I just need to work or try new searching techniques.
