"Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible."
Now Loading Crews the Energy Expo!

On Wednesday 11/29/06, five students from the MeneMAC Broadcast Journalism program joined Michael Paz from Olelo as the video crew for the Hawaiian Electric Energy Expo at the Hawaii Convention Center.

The day started at 6:30 AM for Melissa Cantillo, Elyssea Diaz, Chelsey Nabor, Irene Pasion, and Sharlene Whang, as they arrived at the convention center for camera and audio checks. It ended at 5:00 PM, after they had covered a full day of workshop presentations by experts in the field of energy conservation as well as produced live-to-tape coverage of the awards banquet.

Not only did the girls get to learn a bit about ocean air conditioning and alternative energy sources, but they also were compliemented by Michael, their boss for the day, as "one of the best crews I've worked with...I'd like to work with them again." Everyone agreed that they'd thoroughly enjoyed the day, especially the live-to-tape, and that they had learned a lot under Michael's mentorship; and are looking forward to working with Olelo on future jobs!
