Subject: Okay--One Team Registered!!!!

Hi all!

Okay...the Food for Thought team has now registered themselves as a
team....they have opened up their proposal file and started entering their
ideas...and they have posted to the Team Idea forum on the TQ site that
Dr. Sadagic set up for us...

I am sending you a copy of Shinji and Raymond's posts so that you have an
idea of how one team is proceeding...note that we are starting from
*enduring knowledge* and letting the tech follow the content....

Our Architecture Ala Mode will be following along this weekend and I know
those Stealth Geeks have already been meeting with Mr. Hale...
This is the bigtime guys...bon appetit!!!!

from Shinji...
We chose this name because it has a double meaning that fits our group
perfectly--every time we have a meeting we have some type of food to
satisfy our stomachs as well as our minds. We hope to be able to provide
this same type of "food" to others through our project so that many will
experience the satisfaction of having a full stomach...uh, I mean mind.

Our idea centers on universal languages and revolves around the
integration of multiple disciplines, specifically mathematics, art, and
music. By combining these subjects we hope to learn about and teach the
various relationships between them, thus utilizing one subject to
elucidate another. For example, with mathematics we can employ chaos
theory as a method of analyzing art; likewise in music we can express
common notes in composed pieces as mathematical notations (such as
frequencies). Music and art can also be integrated -- we can demonstrate
the similarities between the flow of themes and patterns in an art project
and the flow of themes and patterns in a musical composition. There are a
lot of possibilities that we can explore, but our main goal is to show how
these separate disciplines can form a universal language worthy of being
enduring knowledge.
After getting our concepts together we will move on and try to incorporate
the technological portion of ITF by applying advances such as
tele-immersion and virtual reality to our ideas. We will try to come up
with different methods of using the new technology to disseminate our
enduring knowledge and teach it to the world.

Subject: Hi guys

I checked my email a second ago and realized that being sick really bites..
Sorry I am not up with every thing..
I am available at 1:00pm and 7:00pm but not 4:00pm.

Since we can't post on the forum here are my notes from wensday.

Morinne?- Art/Communication/music
Lorainne?- Religion/ world religions
Lance- Art/Music
Daniel- He said art music but was very interested in tech.
Alicia- Ancient Arcitecture and evolution.

(Sorry if I butchered your names....)

We talked alot about how many sacred places had all of our interests in
common..
We then said we would look in to some aspect of sacred places and religions.
-------------------------
My ideas
When I talked to Ms. S after school and see mentioned that the ancient
religions and places that are sacred to people have one thing in common..
making themselves immortal.. I thought about that yesterday and think she was
on to something. Besides that some people believe certain places were built
to leave a message or communicate with the future so they can learn about the
past. Ancient places may have some lesson that we are suppose to learn from
them so that the past is not repeated or so that the religions or people that
once existed there live for ever. I think that we should not concentrate on
what about the religion we want to teach but what the religion and places
were trying to teach us and their future by creating their beliefs and
magnificent structures.. Well I will elaborate more tomorrow at the chat.. If
no one responds back I will be there at 1pm and 7pm ok..
