Breaking NEWS!!!! Food for Thought Selected as One of Two Teams to Represent ITF in Seattle!!!
ITF announcement
When we say "food for thought," we mean business! Or at least Ms. Harada does...along with her legion of chefs (aka Mrs. Miyasato, Mrs. Shimamoto, and Mrs. Yamashiroya...Sueoka doesn't qualify...she bought her pastries from the bakery ;)
But what food awaited the hard working teams, bright and early on the morning of June 3...bacon, sausages, hash browns, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit salad, waffles with strawberries and whipped cream....and more...
Once they'd satisfied their appetites, the teams settled in to whet their intellectual appetites, as we heard and saw the various teams present their projects.
Principal Darrel Galera, assisted by team coaches (Dan Hale, Kathy Yamashiroya, and Priscilla Shimamoto off camera, from the Cool Geeks) presented the certificates and hats to the students.
Nita Gojani, exchange student from Kosovo, receives her memento of a very challenging and special experience during her year in the US. We at MOHS were so very fortunate to have met and worked with Nita and we wish her a safe and happy trip home. With email, we'll never be far away!
And of course, the videoconference--a very important part of our celebration! After a weekend of stressing over hard drive and projector problems, we were able to welcome Dr. Sadagic, along with Terry Rogers, CEO of Advanced Network Services, and Robert Sibley, Education Director of ANS, to our Hawaiian breakfast banquet. Well, virtually, anyway!
We are very proud to present our three MOHS ITF sites
