Everyone's portfolio has blossomed into REALLY COOL pages from first quarter to second quarter and some people even had awesome pages from the beginning in the first quarter but unfortunately... MINE DIDN'T. Not until this quarter do I actually like my page (even now I'm not completely satisfied)… sometimes I feel like I don't belong in the MeneMAC class- everyone's always so ahead of me. It's also really hard for me to catch up because the techniques and skills can't really be taught- just learned by with experience.
Ms. Nishite, our (VERY WISE :]) media teacher told us that we would most likely have a individual project in class… being not-so great in Final Cut Pro, Live Type, and Soundtrack, I got worried… and Ms. Nishite says… "if you're still uncomfortable with making a video, that's BAD…" having those words flashed into my mind worried me even more. As you could see from my past experiences, I wasn't very "techie." I always just met what was "minimal" in media class because I guess was a little afraid to push myself to do better. I really hoped to make this webpage the BEST that I could and it's still not good enough, but talent takes time! I really want to do better… I believe I can… it just takes two scary words: SELF-DISCIPLINE! I hope that in this coming
quarter, I will push myself to be the best that I can be!
Although I am uncomfortable making videos and webpage's, Media is one of my favorite classes because it is somewhat easy-going and also because I love the feeling when I accomplish something hard. The thrill really encourages me to keep on trying new things and to do more projects until I get better at it.
Another class I enjoy in school is Biology. With me, it's a love-hate relationship because I absolutely hate it when I don't get something and I love it when I figure something out… sort of like how I feel in Media when I accomplish something. I know this sounds bad, but I am trying to force myself to enjoy Biology because I want to become a Pharmacist when I grow up and I know that biology will help me get there.
I know that was a very looonnnggg introduction so I now grant you permission to roam about my page and explore. Have fun!
