What is Aquaculture?
Defining Aquaculture

Aquaculture

Aquaculture is defined as "the cultivation of aquatic animals and plants in a natural or controlled marine environment."

With Aquaculture, we can prevent certain fish from going extinct by raising them in fishfarms and fishponds. Aquaculture in Hawaii is very good because we are in the middle of the ocean and available to almost all aquatic resources. If aquaculture didn't exist, we might not have such a diverse species of fish. Aquaculture is actually split into two different sectors: the research of Aquaculture and the Business of Aquaculture.
