Portfolio Project Description
Technology as a tool for communications: Students use technology to communicate, to collaborate, publish, and interact with peers, experts, and other audiences. Students use a variety of media and formats to communicate information and ideas effectively to multiple audiences.

  2. Studens communicate their experiences through technology.
  3. Students use different forms of media to communicate information.
  4. Students use portfolio to communicate with different types of audiences.

Elements of function and purpose
This means that the purpose of your site is obvious to everyone that visits it. And how your website works (links etc.) is also obvious to everyone, like it shouldn't be complicated to go from one page to another.
The different graphics, designs, and text should be significant and serve a specific purpose in the web site.
The web site shows clearly what the creator is trying to convey.

Elements of balance
Elements of balance means that the website is balanced in design, information and technology skills. Like nothing overpowers anything else, it shouldn't be like the design and layout are like extremely good yet you can't see the purpose of the site.
Color, layout, graphics, text, etc., should be effectively used to match and bring site together.

Elements of unity, theme, and metaphor
Metaphor matches with function of portfolio, one that binds everything together, and the theme of all pages of the portfolio is consistent.

Elements of voice and character
It means communicating about your views, insight and talent with your peers. Your site is professional, yet personal. When people see you sight they should be able to see a little of your character, and how you view certain things.

Elements of effective tech applications
Able to use different programs effectively to help communicate with viewer.
The creator uses a wide range of media (ex. Flash, Mpegs, etc.). The creator embeds their creations into the web pages to add a whole new look and flare to it.
