The day started with final preparations for our VJ responsibilities. Our VJs--Laurel, Joanna, Chanelle, and Lawrence, practiced with their cue cards. The MeneMAC team covered the blackboard with blue paper and displayed the school banner.
The music team--Kylie on ukulele and Lindsey on hula, assisted by Justine, Kristen, Tyler, and Ren--readied their song and dance, while our interactive teams prepared to represent Moanalua with questions and responses for the presenters.
And then it was LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! MEGACONFERENCE JUNIOR, 2007!!!

Planning for the Big Day!
|
 |
This year, MoHS MeneMAC is featuring a six member VJ team made up of sophomores Joanna, Laurel, Chanelle, and Lawrence. They will be assisted by two freshmen: Kylie, who will play the site sound on ukulele, and Lindsey, who will contribute the sights and sounds of hula to our Hawaii VJ presentation! |

Our MeneMAC freshmen will be initiated into videoconferencing when they participate in MegaConference 2007 on February 22. They will be interacting with Salisbury and Lakeview High Schools, as well as other schools from around the country. In addition to our freshman participants, some of our sophomores, who have just completed their "Risky Business" project on teen risk behaviors, will be joining the videoconference at recess.
Our MeneMAC students will also be interacting with presentations on Creativity, on the ESL experience, and on real foreign language communication experiences.
